MEDICATION:
Good Foundations staff does not dispense medication. The parent/guardian may come to the center to give the child medication. The policy still stands if your child is ill or had a contagious illness – the child cannot return to daycare without doctor’s statement.
MEDICATION IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE DIAPER BAG OR BACK PACKS.
PROCEDURES FOR HANDLING MEDICAL EMERGENCIES:
· Contact emergency medical services or take the child to the nearest emergency room
· Give the child first aid treatment or CPR when needed
· Contact the Physician
· Contact the child’s parent
· Ensure supervision of other children in the group.
