                    DISCIPLINE AND GUIDANCE:

Children are expected to obey their teacher and treat others with courtesy and respect.  Curse words, potty words, talking back. Tantrums, spitting, biting and physical force (hitting, kicking, pushing, and scratching, etc.) used against staff or other students are unacceptable behaviors.  ALL CHILDREN ARE ENROLLED ON A TRIAL BASIS.  We reserve the right to suspend or dismiss a child who is a CONTINUAL DISCIPLINE OR BEHAVIOR PROBLEM.  WE WILL WORK WITH THE PARENTS BY:

                    3.    Suspension for a determined time.
                    4.    Upon reentering the child will be dismissed from the center, if there is not a change in behavior.

                    DISCIPLINE WILL BE:
                    1.     Individualized and consistent for each child
                    2.    Appropriate to the child’s level of understanding; and
                    3.    Directed toward teaching the child acceptable behavior and self-contro

                    2.    Reminding a child of behavior expectations daily by using clear, positive statements
                    3.    Redirecting behavior using positive statements, and
                    4.    Using brief supervised separation or time out from group, when appropriate for the child’s age and development, which is limited to no more than one minute per year of the child’s age.
